Where is NetSetGo held?
The Newport Power NetSetGo program is held at the two club courts at Bryan Martyn Oval in Market Street, Newport.
Will NetSetGO still be on if it
rains?
If there
is substantial rain on the morning of NetSetGO,
that session may be cancelled. In this event, an email/notification via Team App will be sent out by 8.30am to let you know.
Is NetSetGO just for girls?
Not al all! We encourage both boys and girls to join our program. Boys can play competitive netball in the Saturday junior competition through to the end of U/13's.
How old does my child have to be to participate in NetSetGO?
NetSetGo caters for children aged 5-10 years. We run two courts simultaneously, with the groups split by age.
Do I need to bring
any special gear to NetSetGO?
No. Please just have your child wear comfortable clothing and runners, and bring
a water bottle.
How is information communicated to parents?
We use Team App to send out notifications to parents, including updates, events, cancellation due to rain etc... Each participant (parent) will need to download Team App. The club will also send some communications via email.
How are the sessions
run?
Each session is run via a planned schedule, including warm up
games, skills and activities, and depending on the age of the participants, a modified
netball game.
Can I help
out at NetSetGO?
Absolutely! We will be looking for adult helpers for various
roles. In fact, the success of the program – like Auskick
and other community sports programs – is dependent
on the involvement of our local families. It’s fun to help
out, and your children will love
having you involved.
